Hot off the press! World Medical Journal article : The Declaration of Geneva: Conscience, Dignity and Good Medical Practice

Dear Friends,

We would like to share an article that was published in the World Medical Journal last week, on the importance of conscience to practise medicine with integrity. Part 1 of the article was published a few months ago.

As you know, a third extension was granted to address the changes in Bill C-7, with the new deadline set for Feb. 26, 2021. The proposed changes will facilitate access to medical assistance in dying (MAiD) for those whose conditions are not terminal.

We urge you to please continue contacting Senators about Bill C-7 in order to encourage them to make amendments to the bill. If you live in Ontario, please contact your MPPs about conscience protection.

Some of you have been asking which Senators would be best to contact. We suggest reaching out to those from your province in the ISG (Independent Senators Group) and CSG (Canadian Senators Group).

Please see below for information about an upcoming event (in French only) we thought would be of interest to you.

We thank you for all your support throughout the year and we wish you all the best for the New Year 2021!

Sincerely,

Catherine Ferrier
President
