World Medical Journal article : The Declaration of Geneva: Conscience, Dignity and Good Medical Practice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear Friends, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We would like to share an article that was published in the World Medical Journal last week, on the importance of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wma.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/wmj_4_2020_WEB.pdf#page=43\">conscience to practise medicine with integrity<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wma.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/wmj_3_2020_WEB.pdf#page=4\">Part 1<\/a> of the article was published a few months ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you know, a third extension was granted to address the changes in Bill C-7, with the new deadline set for Feb. 26, 2021. The proposed changes will facilitate access to medical assistance in dying (MAiD) for those whose conditions are not terminal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/health\/living-and-dying-with-dignity-third-chance-to-get-assisted-dying-bill-right-1.5239528\"><em>Living and dying with dignity: third chance to get assisted dying bill right<\/em><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/video?clipId=2105123&amp;cache=osodemdja\"><em>CTV National News: Debating Bill C-7<\/em><\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We urge you to please continue&nbsp;contacting Senators about Bill C-7 in order to encourage them to make amendments to the bill. If you live in Ontario, please contact your MPPs about conscience protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of you have been asking which Senators would be best to contact.
